Has anyone tried amitriptyline for fibro pain or sleep?

Helped with sleep initially, then stopped working. When the GP increased the dose the side effects (dry mouth, weight gain, next-day sedation) became too much. Went back down. It's a 'meh' for me — not nothing but not the answer.
