Resting without guilt is a skill I had to actively learn. I'm still learning it. Every hour in bed felt like failure for years. The shift for me was reading about how rest is physiologically productive — that tissue repairs, the nervous system regulates, immune function runs. Rest isn't passive. It's the thing that makes everything else possible. You're not wasting time. You're doing the work.
