Morning is absolutely the worst for me. The transition from lying to standing sets my heart racing before I've even thought about the day. I've learned to give myself a full 20-30 minutes horizontal after waking — drinking 500ml of water before standing, slowly sitting up, waiting. The first two hours are a write-off if I rush them.
For me it's mid-afternoon, around 2-3pm. I think it's a combination of the natural cortisol dip and whatever I've spent during the morning. I now try to schedule any standing or walking activities in the morning and make 2-4pm a horizontal window. It helps.
Right after meals. The blood pooling in the GI tract on top of orthostatic intolerance is brutal. Small frequent meals, reclining after eating, cold water to drink — that's my post-meal protocol now. Took months of trial and error to figure out.
